                             New CD In The Works

    Debrah Kay has been working on a new CD.  It's been five long years since her last release.  The new CD will feature all new material co-written by Debrah and long-time friend Mike Baker.  "I have been kind of reinventing myself musically,' she said in a recent interview.  "Trying to come up with a fresh new sound.  The songs included on this CD are probably the best I have ever written," she says.  "It all comes down to incorporating real life experiences into your music.  I think that's what we've done with these new songs.  Some are just raw heart break others are happy, thankful blessings.  And that's what life is."  
    The title cut, "Something Beautiful," is a playful tune celebrating love in a new relationship.  Debrah explores the difficulties of love lost on, "You're Gonna Leave Me Again,"  "Empty," and "Why."  "One of my favorite songs of all time is, Chris Cagle's "Miss Me Baby."  So, Mike and I wrote kind of a sequel to "Miss Me Baby," called, "Every Time I Hear Miss Me Baby."  Being on the road performing, Debrah and the guys have seen their share of dumpy motel rooms and she spares no feelings on the subject in the playful, "Motel Hell."  The CD is set to be released in early 2010.
